This exclusive Royal Caribbean island in the Bahamas is a true tropical oasis, designed to cater to all types of travelers—whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or somewhere in between. Spooky Season Starts Now:
Why You Should Book Your Orlando Halloween Trip Early

While summer is just getting started, we all know how quickly it flies by—back-to-school prep, changing leaves, pumpkin everything… and that can only mean one thing: time to plan a fall getaway to Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights and/or Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
🎃 Both events are already on sale—and some nights are sold out. With Universal’s brand-new Epic Universe opening this year, fall 2025 is shaping up to be one of the best times ever to visit. Whether you're planning a trip with the kids or craving a grown-up weekend away, these two Halloween events offer something for every age and scare level.
Tips for a Smooth Multigenerational Trip:
Traveling with various age groups can be incredibly rewarding, but a little planning goes a long way. Here are some tips we learned along the way:

Consider Sleeping Arrangements: My 9-year-old daughter, for instance, wasn't keen on sharing a bathroom or bedroom with her grandpa. We found a lovely, budget-friendly apartment in Barcelona with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which was perfect.
Mind Mobility & Ability: Think about everyone's physical capabilities. Will stairs be a challenge for older or younger travelers? Ensure there are opportunities for breaks and rest when needed.
Frequent Breaks & Snacks are Key: Bring a reusable water bottle! Both kids and adults often forget to hydrate enough while on the go. Schedule in those snack breaks to keep energy levels up.
Balance Activities with Compromise: Find activities that everyone can enjoy, but be ready to compromise. Is there a kids' version of an audio tour? Would a guided tour keep everyone engaged? Don't be afraid to split up for certain activities if it makes everyone happier.
Set Realistic Expectations & Be Flexible: Kids and older adults alike can have unexpected needs or energy fluctuations. Avoid over-scheduling and be prepared to adapt your plans.
Capture the Memories: Take an abundance of photos! You're not just traveling; you're creating core memories and giving everyone an unforgettable experience.

Atlantis versus Baha Mar in the Bahamas

Which Bahamian Resort Is Right for You?
The Bahamas is such a great family destination. Oftentimes with direct flights from the United States, resorts that are a quick ride from the airport, and a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
When it comes to family luxury vacations in The Bahamas, two names dominate the conversation: Baha Mar and Atlantis. Both are iconic in their own right and offer unique experiences, but depending on your vacation priorities—whether it's food, fun, tranquility, or family-friendly adventure—one might suit you better than the other.
After travelling to both multiple times with my family, here’s a side-by-side comparison to help you decide which paradise is your perfect match.
Resorts with Amazing Waterparks –
Which One Is Right for Your Family?

Planning a family trip and want more than just a pool? Here’s how to pick the perfect waterpark resort based on your vacation style:
Love cruises + entertainment? Hop on Royal Caribbean and head to their private island CocoCay—it's got epic slides, wave pools, and beach vibes!
Foodie family? If you're a self-proclaimed food snob who also wants luxury and stunning resort-Baha Mar in the Bahamas is calling.
Looking for that picture perfect beach? Beaches Turks & Caicos is an all-inclusive resort with waterpark and sits on one of the most famous beaches in the world
Into sea life + adventure? Dive into Atlantis in the Bahamas or Dubai—both offer world-class marine habitats and thrill rides!
Sulking Teenagers on Vacation

You've seen the pictures. You've imagined the moment. A dream family trip to one of the world's most iconic destinations—rich in history, beauty, and meaning. You pictured the awe on your kids' faces, the shared wonder, the lifelong memories.
But instead? Your teenagers, can’t understand why you’re so excited, and spend most of the visit texting their friends. Sulking teens in jaw-dropping places. Or maybe it’s the toddler melting down at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Best First International Trip with Kids
As a travel advisor and parent, I’m often asked, “Where should we go for our first big international family trip?” It’s a great question—because the first time you travel abroad with children can set the tone for years of family adventures to come.
When picking that first destination, I look for a few key things:

Ease of travel
Family-friendly accommodations
Activities
Language accessibility
Safety
Opportunities for kids to have fun and learn something new.
Here are six of Jen's top picks for the best first international trips with kids—destinations that balance adventure with comfort, and create lasting memories for the whole family.
The Best Vacations For Families with Young Kids

We only get so many summers with our kids before they head off to college — before careers, trips with friends, and shifting priorities take over. So what will we do with those precious summers? We’ll create lasting memories.
Travel is at the heart of it all. Experiencing new places together forms a special bond — not just between you and your children, but between siblings, too. These shared adventures leave a mark that lasts a lifetime.
Get lost wandering through a museum, build the biggest sandcastle on the beach, search for dinosaur footprints. These are the memories that stay with you forever.
Sure, you can travel anywhere at any age, but there are seasons of life when certain trips feel even more magical and appropriate.
