Ask an Expert: An Interior Designer answers our top home questions
To be honest, this feels like a dream. Kim here and as the "editor" of Spilling Goodness, I usually use this space to introduce our conversation or our experts and share a little bit about them that you may not already know. And, this week, I was the lucky duck who was able to step on to this stage and answer some fantastic questions. What is your favorite television series, movie, or book that is worth the rewatch?
Whether a television series, movie or book provides a nostalgic respite, an energizing story line or bits of wisdom, going back to our favorites can be just what we need. While we each share our favorites below, another interesting tidbit you'll see is how these stories bring us together with some of our favorite people. Meal Prep Tell All: What, when, how?
We've all been there - staring at the fridge wishing it would tell us what's for dinner. And, while meal prepping can be incredibly helpful, what we all realize is that meal prepping actually starts with the meal plan. We start with looking out to the week and getting a step ahead with a plan- that may range from home cooked meals, to simple favorites or a meal delivery membership. And, then comes the prepping.


What's something new you want to try this year?
With the start of the school year, it can be a fun time to think about trying something new OR dusting off a once loved pastime and getting reacquainted. This question can be a fun conversation starter among friends, family or colleagues. While a few of us have some new things we want to try, Rebecca and Ashley bring up a fantastic perspective. How do your kids help at home?
Asking and expecting our kids to help around the house can take many forms. While kids contributions are actually helpful, they are also learning along the way - not only how to do the task, but why it matters, how they make an impact and how they are a part of something bigger (in this case a lovely family!). 5 moms share what works for our families.
